What a way to utilise a rainbow of balloons! Dresses can anywhere from 4-12 hours to complete, dependant of course on the style created. The price of the dresses start at $200 for the most basic. The price includes any colours of your choosing, and I will personally help you into your dress on the day it may be required. To order balloons I need 4 weeks notice, but alternative arrangements can be made if necessary. I am open to any input you might have regarding design elements. 

It's important to note that the dresses are remarkably sturdy... The dresses will not unravel, and due to the design if a bubble should deflate it will not be devastating and cause a chain reaction. They will last anywhere from 1-2 days as a wearable creation, and over subsequent days deflate even further. The cooler the area it is stored the longer it will last.

Finally, any dress that you wear will be a unique dress that you can guarantee no-one else will be wearing! My guarantee to you is that I will not make another person the exact dress that you will be wearing ensuring it truly is one of a kind.

Dress 7 & 8!

For this dress, I created matching designs for myself and my sweet little friend, Shayla. We actually entered Australia's Got Talent with this ensemble!

There were definately no other 'acts' like ours... and believe me it was fun! The event staff were super-helpful like you wouldn't believe! The producer and others in the special room likened them to something Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would wear... and I can see what they mean.

We didn't get the call to be a contestant.. but that is okay with me (I promised them a balloon fashion show-- phew!). I really enjoyed the experience, my only regret is I should have had a balloon basket of balloon flowers for Shayla to give to the judges! Maybe next time ...!

I decided to enter a dress into the Darwin Show, and thus dress #6 was born!
This is the first time the collar was incorporated, and I love the styling of it!

The colours were chosen because I didn't have to many to chose from at the time, but you know what--- it ended up being one of my favourites colour-wise!

Unfortunately on the day of the show, the dress was already 4 days old and the heat had not been its friend. As a result it was in an advanced stage of deflation on the day yet it still managed many positive comments! (A lovely surprise indeed! Okay and yes, I did hang around innocently listening to comments :D)

Dress #5 was made in April 2010 and worn to Supanova once more, but this time at the Brisbae convention. My most ambitious dress to date, and also my favourite! I surely felt like a Princess whilst wearing it.

I like the shaped neckline and also the golden bubbles, both new experiences into the foray. What I love is that just like fabric dresses, there are so many different ways you can make a beautiful dress.

The 4th balloon dress was made with a Christmas theme, as you can see! It was created and worn for an article that was seen in That's Life Magazine in December of 09.

Everything of course is made from balloons, including the hat, balloon present and the tops of my boots!

The third dress was made and worn to Supanova in Sydney 2009. If you are unfamilar with Supanova, it is a Pop-Culture convention here in Australia. What better place to wear a balloon dress? Happy to report no poppages!

Not only did I make the balloon dress, the shoes I am wearing in this picture I made and designed as part one of the classes I attended at CDU. They were the 2nd pair I had ever made.

The 2nd dress I created also included a hat made of balloons. This was my first woven hat which is quite unlike the traditional ones you might have seen!

So often I am inspired by other beautiful designs out there. In actual fact this design is inspired by a balloon skirt. This is the intention of my design here, but the high-waisted concept doesn't translate easily into a skirt, but no matter as it still was a unique look!

This dress was made and worn whilst balloon busking at Mindil Beach Sunset Markets in 2009.

In the year 2009, I completed a course in Certificate IV in Visual Arts and Creative Industry, in the Fashion Design stream. The opportunity came up in a class to do a presentation on the art we create. Although my focus was on fashion, I decided to make a go of making something that utilised two of my favourite things!

This dress was the first of a few! And hopefully many more to come!
